Creamy Pumpkin Soup Recipe
This creamy and comforting pumpkin soup is the ideal fall dish. The cinnamon and nutmeg add a warm, cozy flavor that is sure to please.
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (ground)
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 20 minutes
- Total Time: 30 minutes
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Cook until the onion and garlic are soft, about 5 minutes.
- Combine pumpkin puree, chicken broth, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
- To combine, stir everything together.
- Cook for 10 minutes on a low heat.
- Blend the soup with an immersion blender until smooth.
- Cook for 5 minutes more after adding heavy cream.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
